Guide

Choosing and caring, without hurry.

A short atelier guide to extensions, lace and wigs. It is here so you arrive at the conversation with the right questions.

Extensions

Wefts add length and density to your own hair. The texture should follow yours: silk straight for a clean fall, body wave for soft movement, deep wave for more volume.

Length is measured stretched, in inches, from the tip to where the weft begins. If your hair is wavy, ask for a little more than you picture, because the wave shortens what you see.

Lace: frontal, closure and 360°

A 13×4 frontal covers the hairline from ear to ear and leaves room for a parting. A 5×5 closure closes a smaller area at the crown, useful when you want more of your own hair around it. A 360° frontal circles the head and allows updos with the hairline hidden.

HD lace is finer and disappears more easily on the skin, but it wants a light hand. Density — 130%, 150% or 180% — changes the volume: 130% is light and natural, 180% is full and needs more hair underneath so it does not show.

Wigs

A glueless wig sits on the inner fit, without adhesive for everyday wear. It is the choice when you want a complete shape — long straight, body wave or a curly bob — and to take it off at the end of the day.

Measure around your head and tell us in the request. We guide you on size, density and length before the piece is prepared.

Everyday care

Wash in warm water with a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo, in the direction of the length. Mask on the ends, a wide-tooth comb from tip to root, a microfibre towel. Heat only warm, and always with protection.

Sleep with the hair loose, or on a silk pillowcase. Wigs rest on a stand. On lace, do not rub the hairline, and use only products made for it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the hair human?

Yes. The Hairora collection is 100% human hair. We do not work with blended synthetic fibre.

Why is the site a showcase?

Each request is guided by the atelier — length, colour, density and preparation — and the proposal follows in writing, in a conversation, not on an automatic shelf.

What is the difference between a frontal and a closure?

A frontal covers more of the hairline and gives more freedom for a parting. A closure closes a smaller area at the crown and leaves more of your own hair visible around it.

What does density mean?

It is the amount of hair on the lace or the cap. 130% reads light, 150% is the balance we recommend most, 180% is a full volume.

Can I colour the hair?

Human hair can take colour, but going darker is safer than lifting. Write to us with the starting colour and the colour you imagine before any chemistry.

How do I name the length?

In inches, with the hair stretched. On the site we also show approximate centimetres. If you hesitate between two, ask for the longer: cutting is possible, adding is not.

Do the wigs need adhesive?

The glueless wigs in the collection adjust without adhesive for daily wear. If you want a bonded lace finish for an occasion, we will tell you how to do it without harming the hairline.

How long does a piece last?

It depends on care, heat and how often it is washed. With the ritual in the guide, a well-chosen piece stays with you for many months.
